Bujinkan Association of Japan
Bujinkan (The Hall of the Divine Warrior) is an international martial arts organization based in Noda, Japan and headed by Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi (Soke), who inherited 9 martial arts traditions (Koryū) which include 3 Ninjutsu Schools, transferred to him in the middle of the 20th Century by his teacher Takamatsu Toshitsugu.
The Bujinkan system is recognized worldwide as an authentic Ninjutsu school, but the style is generally called Budo Taijutsu, because its training focus on the combat area from 6 of the 9 ancient lineages (Ryūha).
North Jersey Bujinkan
North Jersey Bujinkan Buyu (NJBB) is the Ninja Division at the Academy of Martial Arts and its goal is to preserve the traditional martial arts taught by Masaaki Hatsumi Soke, in a non-competitive atmosphere. NJBB's training program is in accordance with the Bujinkan's yearly theme with a great enphasis in the Ninja school system. NJBB's is directed by a Judan (10th degree Black Belt) instructor in the Bujinkan Association of Japan under Dr. Hatsumi.
The Bujinkan practitioners receive martial arts ranks with a worldwide recognition.
Meifu Shinkage Ryû Association of Japan
Meifu Shinkage Ryū (MSR) is a modern martial arts with roots in the ancient samurai system of the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryû.
Dr. Chikatoshi Someya (1924-1999) founder of Meifu Shinkage ryu was born in Chiba prefecture in Japan; his family is related with a samurai lineage. After years of hard training became a master of the art Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto Ryu under Sugino Yoshio, being introduced in the secret art of Shuriken jutsu.
Otsuka Yasuyuki Sensei is the current Soke (Head of the family) having his headquarters in Chiba, Japan. MSR have training centers (Keikokai) and branches in Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
MSR New Jersey Keikokai
The Academy of Martial Arts is the only school in the United States East Coast authorized to teach shuriken jutsu, being recognized worldwide as the MSR New Jersey Keikokai.
MSR New Jersey Keikokai is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of the Meifu Shinkage Ryu Shurikenjutsu tradition with the direct support of the current grandmaster in this tradition, Otsuka Yasuyuki Soke.
The MSR practitioners receive martial arts ranks with a worldwide recognition.
